At the age of 56 years died Steve Jobs. This fact is confirmed by Apple, on its official website hosting page obituary.

24-th of August of the current year, Jobs left the post of the head of Apple, as the new CEO of the company became Tim Cook. In his letter to the employees of Apple Steve did not disclose his reasons for leaving, though it was quite obvious that the only serious health problems to prevent the Jobs to be engaged in favourite business. "I have always said, that if ever the day comes and I won't be able to perform the duties of the head of Apple, I will be the first to tell you about this story. Unfortunately, this day has come." - then said Steve.

Let's remind, that in 2004, at the head of the company has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, then in July of the same year, he underwent an operation, followed by another in 2009. After that Steve Jobs was on vacation for about six months. In January of this year the head of Apple went on indefinite leave for restoration of health, after which the press talked about the fact that he had, perhaps, a relapse of the disease.

The Role of Steve Jobs in the IT industry it is difficult to overestimate. Even the leaders of competing companies always have spoken highly of him. For example, recently the chairman of the board of directors of Google, Eric Schmidt (Eric Schmidt) called Jobs "perhaps the best" the head of the company in the last 50 or 100 years. In 2009, Fortune magazine named Steve CEO of the decade, a year later, the Financial Times awarded him a prize - Man of the year.
