Intel unveils new Atom processors D2500 and D2700 of the family of Cedar Trail
The novelties are made on 32-nanometer production process and according to the manufacturer are designed for nettops. Among the general characteristics of the new "nuclear" processors dual core x86, 4 streaming process, 1 Mb l2 cache, built-in controller DDR3, TDP-in 10 W and support for DirectX 10.1 for integrated graphics.
As the representatives of Cedar Trail, the new products are able to correctly play back video with a resolution of 1080p, the work with the Blu-ray disc and ensure the functioning of the technologies: Fast Boot, PC Synch, and the Intel Wireless Display.
The difference between the D2500 and D2700 is the clock frequency and, consequently, the price. So, the first of them gives a total of 1.86 Ghz and costs $42. D2700 works with greater frequency in the 2.13 Ghz, but has already cost ten dollars more expensive.
Let's add, that in the nearest plans of Intel on the expansion of the platform Cedar Trail release of another two 32-nanometer processors Atom: D2600 and D2800.
