RAID via USB 3.0

The company HighPoint is HBA card with four ports USB 3.0 for connection of the individual drives and RAID arrays

The novelty has received name RocketU 1144AR and is now available for ordering online shopping sites for the price of about $130 (for example, Amazon has it for $133,86).

Board RocketU 1144AR is inserted into an available PCI Express slot 2.0x4. Connected to it via a USB 3.0 various SSD, HDD, RAID-arrays (0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD) are able to exchange data with the computer with the speed of 5 Gbps each, that is, the aggregate throughput of the four ports is 20 Gbit/with. Supports "hot" connect/disconnect the drive. Does the new board, as under the control of Windows, and Linux.

The scope RocketU 1144AR, in addition to the device itself, includes a CD with driver and instructions for installation and use.
