“Postal service” unite to combat Internet fraud

Google, Microsoft, Yahoo! and AOL, owning the largest of the services of the e-mail address, will be forwarded metadata of electronic letters to the anti-phishing service Agari.

Agari has long been concerned with the protection from phishing large companies, involved in Internet commerce, financial services, social networks, including the most popular facebook, and handles the day-to 1.5 billion messages, blocking several tens of millions of malicious messages. Thus, starting cooperation with Agari, "postal service" hope to significantly reduce the number of letters with cyber threats, received by the users.

Explaining to reporters information agency CNET, as, for example, Facebook, service works Agari, the company's vice president Daniel Raskin said, that in the case of threats, the administration receives a warning in real time and thus may in time to take the necessary measures.

Ruskin also especially noted, that Agari does not receive the message and does not read their content. Using special algorithms, Agari analyzes the authenticity of the letters and determine if its not possible, sends an appropriate notification providers of e-mail.
