how much and WHERE CAN YOU BUY the apple iphone 8gb and 16gb in australia?

I want to buy it outright with no plans and stick in my own simcard. Will this affect the internet downloading etc etc?

    If the iPhone plan there is anything like it is in the UK, US, Canada, etc you wouldn’t be able to buy it contract free.
    You would probably be required to sign some sort of contract with the local carrier for it there when buying. It wouldn’t be unlocked either. It will be locked to who you are buying it from.
    Unlocked iPhones nowadays could cost around $ 700-$ 800 USD.

    Unfortunately that’s the reality.

    actually they can be a lot cheaper than stated. In the UK you can now get an iphone not on a contract for £300 but unlocked phones can fetch $ 400 – $ 500 be careful if thinking of buying of ebay a lot of fakes.
