Question by Dr. Killjoy: What year did yahoo begin opening their chat rooms?
I am curious for a friend of Mine. I was wondering when yahoo actually started offering users the ability to go into chat rooms & socialize? I don’t mean yahoo messenger itself, but as solely the chatrooms themselves. Thank you.

It was the late 90′s. Either 98 or 99.
