Models and celebrities on the pages of magazines affect the snow-white smiles, a beautiful skin and a perfect figure. All know, that there is not without class photographer, designer genius and a very well-known editor. But that’s how much the picture is different from the original? If you want to learn it, then you will be interested in the next news.
A group of scientists from Dartmurts college in New Hampshire (home BASIC language) developed a computer program that will help convict magazines in the “distortion” of the facts. Program is very simple. It compares two images of a man: one resulting from the photographer and not yet passed through the hands of the designer, the second – that will go into the magazine, correct and refined. After the program puts in the second image on different parts of it – tenths of 1 to 5, indicating the degree of corrections: the higher the score, the more the “corrected” the designer.
Scientists from Dartmurts college expressed hope that the media publication sooner or later will be obliged to use their program and publish photos with their scores. According to scientists, this will help dissatisfied with the appearance of people, who, as you know, weight, enhance self-esteem – looking for the “perfect “people they will know what is really going on here is true and what is not.
The idea (and program), of course, good, but extremely utopic, and because it is unlikely destined to evolve into something real.
P.S. Want to go ski ?
